The General Federation of Women's Clubs is the oldest and largest nondenominational, nonpartisan volunteer service organization of women in the world, with clubs in every state and more than a dozen countries. The GFWC is represented in thousands of communities across the world by volunteers working to enhance the lives of their neighbors, making towns safer and more beautiful, and extending the hand of support and friendship to individuals near and far.

The Florida Federation of Women's Clubs was formed in 1895 in Green Cove Springs, Florida as part of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. Children were at the heart of much of their work. They petioned for laws against child labor and for compulsory education. Their love for convervation led to the formation of Royal Palm Park that later became a part of the Everglades National Park. There are 14 districts in the state of Florida and the GFWC Viera Woman's Club is in district 6.

 Offers a professional therapeutic environment
for children and adolescents facing
significant emotional, behavioral and
intellectual/developmental challenges.
Offers opportunities to volunteer
in a variety of areas of conservation.
"Hacienda Girls Ranch (is)our safe haven for
teen girls in foster care struggling to cope
with their losses and traumas."
 
Provides food for 2,000 kids each week to be
used on weekends when food from school is
not available.
 
Provides emergency assistance to those in
the community who are struggling to
meet life's basic needs.

lives of people with disabilities by providing
highly trained assistance dogs and ongoing
support to ensure quality partnerships."
 
 Strives to meet the needs of neglected,
abused and abandoned children in Brevard
County and Central Florida by assuring the
highest quality of care for the children and
the program's continued success.
Administers and supports several programs
to benefit children including Take Stock
in Children, The SUPPLY ZONE for Teachers,
and a scholarship program for graduating seniors.
 
 is a year round camp serving
children with serious illnesses
throughout Florida.
 They offer week-long summer sessions
for the children and family retreat weekends
for the whole family free of charge.
 is "dedicated to Florida's wildlife in need.
(Their) mission is to aid sick, injured and
orphaned native Florida wildlife and migratory 
birds, and to return them to the ecosystem."
