Sunshine Juniorettes
The Juniorette membership category was introduced by GFWC President Carolyn Pearce (Florida) in 1966. There are currently 22 Juniorette Clubs and approximately 790 members in the State of Florida. They hold active membership and participate in the regular programs of GFWC/GFWC Florida.
In June 2006, our Club voted to sponsor a Juniorette Club for high school girls. In the fall of 2008, Club membership was changed to include middle and high school girls.
The Sunshine Juniorette Club joined the Florida Federation in September 2006.
Our Juniorettes have made hospital gowns and smile dolls for Operation Smile, organized a fashion show to assist refugees in Darfur, Sudan, worked at the Daily Bread soup kitchen in Melbourne, participated in the Multiple Sclerosis Walk three years in a row, held bake sales for the Suntree-Viera Library, sent packages to soldiers in Iraq, supported Hacienda Girls Ranch, and much, much more.
